How to read these guides

Every guide follows the same honest logic, so you always know where you are.

1 · The idea first

What the part is actually for, in plain words — before any specifications.

2 · Step by step

How it works in sequence, with the real numbers: watts, nanometres, hertz, cycles.

3 · The table

Side-by-side comparisons you can use when a shop, a spec sheet or an advert makes a claim.

4 · Myths & mistakes

The claims that sound true, are repeated everywhere, and are not — plus the habits that genuinely help.

Quick answers

The questions readers ask most about this series.

Who are these guides written for?
Everyday phone owners and students — anyone who has read a spec sheet full of words like “3 nm”, “AMOLED” and “mmWave” and wanted to know what they actually mean. No engineering background is assumed, but the numbers are the real ones, not simplified inventions.
Are these reviews or buying advice?
Neither. MobileFacts explains how the technology works so you can judge any phone yourself. Where brands differ, we describe the technology, not the winner — a bigger sensor, a smaller chip process or a faster charger means the same thing whoever sells it.
How exact are the figures?
Values are the standard published ranges for each technology — typical band speeds, common cycle-life ratings, standard charging behaviour. Individual phones vary by model and conditions, and a manufacturer’s own test figures (for example, biometric error rates) are labelled as claims where we use them.
Will following these guides make my phone last longer?
Some of them, genuinely — the battery and slowdown guides separate the habits that measurably help (storage headroom, heat control) from the rituals that do nothing. Nothing here requires opening your phone, and we never suggest that you do.
Will more topics be added?
Yes. This first volume covers the ten questions readers ask most. Later volumes are planned on phone security, wireless audio, satellite features and repairability, in the same explain-it-properly format.
